Mr Summers is a former Australian Army pilot and flight instructor/examiner, Scott has previously held a Category B Military Instructor rating, delivering advanced rotary wing instruction in IFR, NVIS, low-level and tactical operations. During his military service, he instructed and assessed Army aircrew in the Blackhawk Helicopter and was responsible for maintaining aircrew standards and operational readiness within 171 AVN SQN conducting Special Aviation Operations.
In civilian operations, Scott has served as Head of Training Operations, Chief Pilot and Head of Check & Training across multiple organisations, managing complex rotary wing training programs aligned to regulatory and contractual requirements.
His combined military instructional background, CASA examiner status and extensive IFR/NVIS operational experience directly supports the training, proficiency and type rating requirements of this contract.
